need a name for my science fair project?
for my science fair, i drank two types of energy drinks(MONSTER AND RED BULL),,, and i took my blood pressure and pulse every fifteen minutes to see if their was a relation,…
and now i need a name for my project… HELPP.
thank youuu.:)
… i didn’t just use myself i just had to make the question description simple.

I hope you have an idea of how to statistically test whether there was a difference. Also, I hope you tested your sample for 2 or 3 trials before they drank the drinks so you have a good control. I agree with Seth that this experiment needs careful thought to control variables…. it’s the old carpenter’s adage of measuring twice, cutting once. It’s like painting a room, the steps are: preparation, preparation, preparation, preparation, painting
So saying that,
a detailed title could be:
Cardiovascular Responses to Energy Drinks
a funny title could be:
A Monster Project on Blood Pressure, No Bull!! (especially if the Red Bull had no effect.
***but*** before you can say anything, you need to **disprove*** the null hypotheses that:
1. there is no difference in blood pressure or pulse rate between controls and those drinking Monster energy drink
2. there is no difference in blood pressure or pulse rate between controls and those drinking Red Bull energy drink
and then
3. there is no difference in blood pressure or pulse rate between Monster and Red Bull energy drink drinkers.
It’s tricky the statistics, since time is also a variable. If you ignored time you might be able to do a paired t-test. With time, you get involved with testing correlations. Also you might need to test whether there is a significant difference between the responses of your subjects.
I hope you have the statistical background or access to someone who knows statistics for you to make a statement about your results.

I hope your teacher approved this idea first. There are a lot of variables that go into blood pressure – you would have a hard time convincing someone that an energy drink was the sole cause of increased blood pressure or pulse.
Anyway, go for something that will garner interest just by a quick glance. For example play on Red Bull’s marketing slogan (Red Bull gives you wings) and title it: Can a beverage allow you to fly? Often for science fair projects, eyegrabbing titles are better than informative ones. Judges like to see creativity.

well imo, you shouldn’t just use yourself. Use multiple people to test to get a more accurate answer to w/e your trying to figure out. Actually, you should consider doing a project on the tensile strength of a tooth pick, that got me a 100
. Just depends on how deep your willing to go. But as for a name for your project, go with…………………….."FEEL THA BURN!!!"
